The Board of Selectmen recently adopted its goals and objectives for FY2016-17 and FY2017-18.

The goals and objectives were developed at two workshop sessions conducted by Carl Weber and Sally Tanner of Primex3, a public entity risk pool organized and operating as a trust on behalf of member municipalities, schools, counties and other governmental entities. Board members, Town Manager David Stack and Administrative Assistant Nicole Gage participated in the workshops.

Participants first evaluated the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) facing the community.   The process helped to identify the internal attributes of the Town in the context of the external environment helped the Board to align its goals and objectives toward a larger vision.

Now that the goals and objectives have been set by the Board, the Town Manager, department heads and employees can begin discussing, creating and implementing initiatives and projects that will meet the goals and objectives.
