Conservation Lands

Bow has a a significant amount of public and private conservation lands that help protect water quality and wildlife habitat and provide recreational opportunities all year round for people of all ages.

For the NH Bioblitz in September 2021, these three town conservation properties with established trail systems provide great opportunities to use the iNaturalist app to identify and record the plant and animal species you observe:

Hammond Nature Preserve and Walker Forest

Knox Forest/ School Forest

Nottingcook Forest

Additional conservation lands in town may not have a trail system but may have other options for access:

Many thanks to Bow Open Spaces for their continued work to maintain the trails in our community.
